La Steccata

APPETIZING: The name “steccata” comes from the presence of toothpicks (in Italian stecchini) that are used to link three different types of white meat (chicken meat, turkey meat and rabbit meat) with bacon fat. Moreover the toothpicks are useful to eat “steccata” in an easy way.

ALL THE DIFFERENT FORMATS OF THE “STECCATA”

The product “STECCATA” can be purchased from the Butcher’s shop in the following formats:

WHOLE PIECE: 5-6 kg (11- 13 lbs) vacuum packs.

SLICES: 250-300 g (0.55-0.66 lbs) vacuum-packed slices.

MODE OF PRESERVATION

The “STECCATA” is vacuum-packed and lasts for a term of about 15 days if it is preserved in optimum conditions to a temperature between 0 and 4°C.

MODE OF CONSUMPTION

The “STECCATA” is to be consumed after cooking in a pan or on a hot plate. Preferably without any seasoning.
